Jonlim vs Mark
Reporter: Terry
Game 1
Mark wins the die roll and elects to play. Both players keep their opening hand.
Mark starts off strong withh a turn 1 handservant off a forest, while all Jonlim can do is to lay a swamp and pass. Mark then lays a swamp and swings with the handservant for first blood.
Mark 20 Jonlim 19
Undaunted, Jonlim plays Militia's Pride off a newly played plains and the swamp, then passes. Mark plays a mountain, giving him three colors in play, then swings with handservant for another 1 damage.
Mark 20 Jonlim 18
Jonlim plays plains and kithkin zephyrnaut, stalling the handservant. Mark plays a swamp and a caterwauling boggart. Unwilling to risk handservant getting killed, he passes. Jonlim fails his zephyrnaut kinship and passes. Mark plays mountain and swings with his unblockable boggart for 2.
Mark 20 Jonlim 16
Jonlim's kinship for zephyrnaut succeeds, turning the zephyrnaut into serra angel temporarily. He swings with his serra angel lookalike and creates a token from militia's pride. Mark eats his first points of damage.
Mark 17 Jonlim 16
Mark lays mountain and swings with the boggart.
Mark 17 Jonlim 14
Kinship succeeds once again for Jonlim. He swings with the zephyrnaut and two tokens, one newly created. Handservant blocks a token and is saved by Kindled Fury. Mark eats 5.
Mark 12 Jonlim 14
Jonlim plays an avian changeling postcombat, pumping the handservant, then passes. Mark simply passes. Kinship fails, and Jonlim swings with the avian, creating a token, which caterwauling boggart blocks. Big mistake, as jonlim plays final sting faerie postcombat, killing the boggart.
Mark 10 Jonlim 14
Trying to stall for time to find answers, Mark plays mudbutton clanger, then sacrifices it to warren weirding to create 2 blockers, then passes. Although kinship fails for jonlim, he swings with his fliers, creating 2 kithlings, which trade with the goblin tokens, leaving Mark at a precarious 6 life.
Mark 6 Jonlim 14
Unable to find answers, Mark passes, and Jonlim alpha strikes FTW.
Mark 0 Jonlim 14 (Jonlim leads 1-0 on aggregate)
Game 2
Mark elects to play. Mark keeps his opener while Jonlim mulls a one land hand for a better hand of 6. Mark starts off with a swamp and a nightshade stinger. Jon plays island and passes. Mark plays a swamp, stings Jonlim for 1 and passes.
Mark 20 Jonlim 19
Jonlim plays a plains and passes. Mark plays plains and attacks.
Mark 20 Jonlim 18
Jonlim plays a swamp and casts spiderwig boggart, giving itself fear, then passes. Mark plays plains and stings Jonlim again.
Mark 20 Jonlim 17
Jon plays swamp and hardcasts noggin whack. Recross the paths, reins of the vinesteed and warren weirding were revealed, all powerful cards. Jonlim carefully considers, not wanting to act on impulse, and eventually decides to let Mark keep his warren weirding, then swings with his spiderwig boggart.
Mark 18 Jonlim 17
Mark swings, then passes.
Mark 18 Jonlim 16
Jonlim plays a plains and swings, giving the boggart wings of velis vel.
Mark 14 Jonlim 16
Mark misses another land drop and swings.
Mark 14 Jonlim 15
Jonlim plays island and swings.
Mark 12 Jonlim 15
Mark plays swamp and swings again. “Shit” - Mark, referring to his lack of forests.
Mark 12 Jonlim 14
Jonlim plays swamp and his own stinger, then swings again.
Mark 10 Jonlim 14
Mark finally gets a forest and recrosses the paths, revealing forest. Jonlim's clash reveals sygg, river guide compared to a land. Mark plays handservant and swings with stinger.
Mark 10 Jonlim 13
Jonlim swings with stinger and boggart, then drops the merfolk ferry operator. Mark blocks the boggart with handservant.
Mark 9 Jonlim 13
Mark topdecks austere command, swings, then uses it to wrath.
Mark 9 Jonlim 12
Jonlim draws and passes, while Mark primal commands, gaining life and tutoring a creature. Jonlim flashes offalsnout at EOT, removing the elvish handservant, afraid of recursion.
Mark 16 Jonlim 12
Jonlim swings with offalsnout.
Mark 14 Jonlim 12
Mark plays the tutored seedguide ash and a stinger and passes. Jonlim decides to eyeblights ending the ash at end of turn, allowing mark to get 3 forests. Jonlim swings with offalsnout, casts wings of velis vel, and NOTORIOUS THRONGS, for 4 tokens and a time walk. The synergy in jonlim's deck and usefulness of “gain all creature types” is clearly evident.
Mark 10 Jonlim 12
Jonlim plays stonybrook banneret on his free turn and alpha strikes. Poor stinger can't block.
Mark 4 Jonlim 12
Mark peppersmokes a token for the cantrip and fails to find anything of use. Jonlim alpha strikes next turn FTW.
Mark 0 Jonlim 12 (Jonlim leads 2-0 on aggregate)
“Walao where got ppl resolve 2 commands still lose” - Mark
Game 3
Both players mulligan, and Mark decides to play, starting off with a turn 1 flamekin brawler off a mountain. Jonlim also manages a turn 1 play in the form of plains, harrier. Mark plays mountain and swings with the brawler, pumping twice.
Mark 20 Jonlim 18
Jonlim lays island and passes. Mark's plays plains, and his brawler gets tapped down by the harrier, making it unable to attack. Jonlim plays plains and avian changeling. Clearly this play cannot be underestimated, as changelings support numerous synergies, as evident in the previous game. Mark plays mountain and caterwauling boggart. Jonlim swings with avian changeling, prowling a stinkdrinker bandit.
Mark 18 Jonlim 18
Mark plays mountain and CHANDRA NALAAR. She kills the avian changeling and is left with 4 counters. Jonlim plays stinger and swings with the bandit. Brawler chumps it. Mark attempts to use Chandra to kill bandit with activation for 1 (3 counters left), but wings of velis vel saves the bandit. Mark is left visibly depressed. Jonlim taps caterwauling boggart and swings with the stinger and bandit. Unblocked, they become 3/2 and 4/2 respectively. The stinger kills chandra while Mark takes 4 from the bandit.
Mark 14 Jonlim 18
Jonlim noggin whacks, forcing Mark to discard his recross the paths and giant's ire. Mark is unable to find answers and Jonlim swings twice FTW, completing his 3-0 trouncing of Mark.
Mark 0 Jonlim 18 (Jonlim wins match, 3-0 on aggregate)
Matchup: Jonlim vs Terry
Reporter: Mark
Game 1
1. Jonlim wins the roll and chooses to play. Dropping a Plains, he ends his turn.
2. Terry somehow managed to get 3 Vivid Lands in his deck, and starts by dropping a Vivid Marsh.
3. Island, end.
4. Finally, a creature hits the field. After a Plains drop, Terry plays a Wanderer’s Twig and a Mosquito Guard before ending.
5. Jonlim responds with a Kithkin Zephyrnaut after a Swamp drop. The “Serra Angel-50%-of-the-time” can cause serious problems if Jonlim is lucky.
6. So much for that. Forest, Moonglove Extract, kills the Zephyrnaut, hits Jonlim with the Mosquito Guard (19 v 20)
7. Plains, Nightshade Stinger, end
8. Leaf Glider, attacks with Guard (18 v 20), then at EOT, Terry sacrifices his Twig for a Forest.
9. Jonlim does his first points of damage with the Nightshade Stinger (18 v 19), then Prowls in a Noggin Whack. Terry’s 3 cards in hand are revealed, with Jonlim choosing to let Terry keep his Forest and discard his Blades of Velis Vel as well as his Diviner’s Wand. Then, Jonlim plays an Avian Changeling to add to his flying army.
10. Terry plays the Forest, then plays Sentry Oak after some help from his Leaf Glider.
11. Jonlim simply attacks with the flyers (18 v 16) and ends.
12. Terry plays a Swamp, and then enters the combat phase hoping to make his Sentry Oak a formidable attacker. Plains v Plains makes sure this doesn’t happen, and Terry throws the offending Plains to the bottom of his library in disgust. Jonlim chooses to keep the Plains on top. Still, Terry attacks with the Glider and Guard (15 v 16) and ends.
13. Finally, some gayness. The same people attack for 3 (15 v 14) but then Jonlim prowls in Notorious Throng. The 3 damage done earlier translate themselves in to 3 1/1 flying tokens, and Jonlim gets an extra turn.
And the extra turn proves to be an exciting one. Jonlim hits with all 5 of his flyers, but a Violet Pall puts an end to the Avian Changeling. The token created by Violet Pall also trades with the Nightshade Stinger. However, Jonlim puts a Wings of Velis Vel on one of his tokens, doing 6 damage in total (15 v 8)
After that gay move, Terry needs to catch up fast. He activates Sentry Oak clash again and wins (Rivals Duel > Spellstutter Sprite), with both people choosing to keep the cards on top. Just as Terry thinks he’s going to do 5 damage, Eyeblights smacks the Oak in the face. Oak dies, and all Terry can do is drop Garruk and make a Beast token as a blocker.
Which isn’t really going to help, as Jonlim’s flying army strikes again. Another Wings of Velis Vel causes another 6 damage (15 v 2) and Final-Sting Faerie hits the board.
No topdeck = lose.
Jonlim leads 1-0 on aggregate
Game 2
1. Terry chooses to go first after the loss, and plays his Japanese Moneyvault (wtf $25), taps it for a Wanderer’s Twig, and ends.
2. Jonlim starts similarly, with a Swamp for a Springleaf Drum.
3. The Vault becomes 2/2 with the help of the newly dropped Plains, and the first points of damage are done (18 v 20)
4. Jonlim can’t find a creature, and ends after playing an Island.
5. Terry thinks he is lucky, and plays a Windbrisk Heights. The Hideaway doesn’t really help him though, and he chooses to hide an Adder-Staff Boggart. No real use there. However, the 2/2 Vault still does damage (16 v 20).
6. Still nothing. Plains, end.
7. Swamp is played, but Jonlim is spared further Vault thrashing because Terry chooses to tap out in favour of a Balloonist. Jonlim chooses to Flash in Offalsnout at the end of Terry’s turn.
8. Island, plays Weight of Conscience on the Balloonist, preventing double flyers from happening. The Offalsnout then hits Terry for 2 (16 v 18).
9. Terry plays a Vivid Marsh, then hits with the Vault (14 v 18).
10. Jonlim responds, playing Goldmeadow Harrier. The Springleaf Drum now kicks in, allowing Jonlim to tap the new Harrier to play a Zephyrnaut. Offalsnout then hits (14 v 16). On the EOT, Terry sacrifices his turn-1-Twig for a Forest.
11. Forest comes down, Hornet Harasser comes down, and the Vault is finally dispatched with the cost of the Zephyrnaut.
12. Jonlim taps out Terry’s sole blocker – the Harasser – with the Harrier, then Offalsnout hits again (14 v 14). Then, he puts in the Final-Sting Faerie, although the effect is wasted.
13. Terry plays a Mountain, then plays the Moonglove Extract, choosing to wait and see which one of Jonlim’s creatures to kill. He then plays a Fertile Ground and attacks with his Hornet Harasser (12 v 14)
14. Jonlim now has effective board control, and is outdamaging Terry with his two creatures. The Snout and the Final-Sting hit for 4 (12 v 10), then Jonlim puts in Warren Pilferers, recalling his Zephyrnaut.
15. The Sentry Oak makes a return, and then Terry decides the Harrier is being really annoying and kills it with Extract. Harasser still gets tapped though.
16. Jonlim might have made a mistake here in choosing to alpha. He forgot that the Weighted Balloonist could block, and so his Snout dies to the useless Balloonist. Then the Sentry Oak kills his Pilferers and emerges intact. 2 damage from the Final-Sting Faerie still go through (12 v 8).
17. Nothing happens. Absolutely nothing.
18. Something happens here though! A Sage of Fables hits the board, then a Sygg, boosted to 3/3 through the Sage’s effect.
19. Terry decides that a Final Revels is in order, as his Sentry Oak would survive, and his Hornet Harasser would take down Sygg with the -2/-2. However, Jonlim gives his Sygg protection from black, preventing it from being hit by the Harasser, forcing the Harasser to hit his own teammate Oak. Fortunately the Oak survives. The Oak then tries to attack, but he loses the clash again (Garruk vs Throng), with both cards being kept on top.
20. Jonlim gives his Sygg protection from white, attacks for 3 (12 v 5) then chooses to strangely play a non-prowled Notorious Throng. 3 tokens emerge, but Jonlim is now tapped out…
21. And indeed it proves to be an error as Violet Pall kills the helpless Sygg, unable to give itself protection. Terry wins the clash, but all the 5/5 Oak does is kill a 1/1 token.
22. Order, Zephyrnaut, whack with the 2 tokens, one trades, other one goes through (12 v 4).
23. Garruk, Greatheart, Beast token. The board is being filled with blockers, and it appears as though Jonlim needs a lucky Kinship to end this next turn.
24. But Terry didn’t count on Spiderwig Boggart giving the Zephyrnaut Fear and alphaing for the win.
Jonlim leads 2-0 on aggregate
Game 3
1. Terry chooses to go first after the loss, and plays a Plains, taps it for a Wanderer’s Twig, and ends.
2. Jonlim starts with a Swamp for a Springleaf Drum. This is virtually the same position as the previous game.
3. Vivid Marsh, end
4. Jonlim can’t find a creature, and ends after playing an Island. EOT, Terry sacrifices the Twig for a Forest.
5. Terry plays the Forest, then taps the Vivid Marsh for G. He then plays the vanilla Elvish Warrior and ends.
6. Swamp, Sage of Fables, end
7. Terry plays his second Vivid Marsh, taps his first Vivid Marsh for R, then puts in an Adder-Staff Boggart. He wins the clash (Hornet > Harasser), with both players leaving the card at the top.
8. Nothing! Swamp and pass.
9. This is why Jonlim played nothing the previous turn. Terry, thinking he had an advantage, dropped a Plains and then swung with both the 3/2 Boggart as well as the Warrior. However, Jonlim was ready for him. The 2/2 Spellstutter Sprite flashes in to trade with the Boggart, while Sage of Fables blocks the Warrior… and promptly becomes 4/4 with the help of the hated Wings of Velis Vel. Terry’s board is clear – or not, as the Sentry Oak comes down (why does he get this every single game)
10. With a sense of déjà vu, Eyeblights smacks Oak in the face again. The Sage then swings for the first points of damage (20 v 18).
11. Hornet Harasser, end.
12. The Harasser trades with the Sage, then Jonlim puts in the Final-Sting Faerie, again wasting the effect.
13. Forest, Gilt-Leaf Seer, end. The play is getting quite boring by this point, as both players start relying mostly on topdecking.
14. But Jonlim still has a creature, which hits Terry for 2 (20 v 16). Nightshade Stinger then comes down, adding to Jonlim’s flyers.
15. Forest, end. See what I mean?
16. Plains, alpha (20 v 13), end.
17. Terry uses his Gilt-Leaf Seer to check his library during his upkeep, then plays down Final Revels to clear the board. He checks his library with the Seer one more time before the Seer hits the grave.
18. Swamp, end. Yawn.
19. Terry now uses the chance to gain board control, playing Leaf Glider and Balloonist. Can he swing through for 4 next turn?
20. Of course not, as the Balloonist get Weighted down again (oh the irony) and Jonlim plays a Plains, then hardcasts Noggin Whack to discard Terry’s lone card in hand.
21. Jonlim top-decks a Weed-Pruner Poplar, which will kill the Glider.
22. Forest, then Glider attacks to go out at least with some damage credited to him (13 v 18). Terry persists in using a crap rare known as Windbrisk Heights, and once again he comes up with nothing useful. In the end he chooses the Kithkin Greatheart, which isn’t really a great reward for attacking with 3 creatures in a turn.
23. Glider does indeed die, and Stonybrook Banneret comes down before the 3/3 Poplar takes out the Weighted Balloonist. Control is switching back to Jonlim again…
24. And once again top-decking saves the day. Boggart Loggers of all things kills the Poplar.
25. The Banneret whacks (12 v 18).
26. Skirmisher, end.
27. Spiderwig to give the Banneret Fear (LOL), whack (11 v 18).
28. Fertile Ground, end. The Skirmisher attacks and runs into the Spiderwig Boggart. Both go to the grave.
29. Island, whack with Banneret (10 v 18).
30. Forest, end. This is really stupor-inducing.
31. Island, whack (9 v 18).
32. Plains and end. Dozed off already?
33. I certainly have, as I fail to take note of the land-drop here. The Banneret whacks again (8 v 18).
34. Swamp, end. I think the players should be dozing off as well.
35. Island, and Jonlim amazingly forgets to attack here. Such games are bad for your health.
36. END. NOTHING IS DONE. YAY.
37. FINALLY. Warren Pilferers gets back the Spiderwig and its Hasted self swings with the Banneret (4 v 18). Please, let this end next turn…
38. Oh god, its Winnower Patrol.
39. Spiderwig to give Pilferers Fear. The Banneret and Spiderwig whack, the Banneret apparently for no reason. The Patrol kills it. (1 v 18)
40. Moonglove, kill Spiderwig, end.
41. Plains, trade Pilferers for Patrol, end.
42. END END END LOL WHAT A GAME
43. LAND, END.
44. Woodland Changeling.
45. Island.
46. Swamp, Woodland attacks with help from the Blades of Velis Vel. This puts Jonlim 4 life down (1 v 14).
47. Glimmerdust Nap on the Woodland Changeling, then Jonlim hardcasts Stinkdrinker Bandit.
48. Weight on Bandit, Garruk, Beast token.
49. ENDENDEND
50. Forest, Beast, attack, the Bandit blocks the Beast and dies.
51. Zephyrnaut, end.
52. Violet Pall on Zephyrnaut, Garruk +1, double Beast whack (1 v 8). Has insane topdecking at the last moment given Terry a win?
53. Nope, as Jonlim comes up with Avian Changeling to save his ass.
54. Mountain, Beast, double Beast whack, the Avian blocks one… and WINGS OF VELIS VEL come out AGAIN to save Jonlim. Amazing.
55. Distant Melody to draw one… and Jonlim gets the needed cards. Order of Golden Cricket and Militia’s Pride come down, the 1/1 token dies to Avian, and Terry needs to find a flyer or something to pump his creatures.
56. No such thing. All he can do is run his beasts for 6 damage, then Jonlim finishes him off.
Jonlim wins match, 3-0 on aggregate
Matchup: Terry vs Mark
Reporter: Jonlim
Game 1
Terry wins the die roll and opts to start first. Unfortunately, the first action he has to do is send back a one lander for a second shipping. Luckily for him, the second time was a nice keeper.
First turn saw a forest and a twig (probably taken from the forest) for terry and Mark had a turn one play in the form of forest and Elvish Handservant. Terry laid down a Vivid Marsh and passed. Mark dropped a mountain and swung with the 1/1.
Terry 19 Mark 20
Terry sacked the twig for a plains on the EOT. He then laid it down the next turn, tapped the Vivid Marsh for a red mana and laid down Adder-Staff Boggart winning the clash with Kinsbaile Skirmisher off the top against a land. He laid down Mosquito Guard too, while all that Mark could do was swamp, pass.
Terry proceeded to cement his board position. A Windbrisk Heights (hiding a Winnower Patrol) later, Terry laid down his Kinsbaile Skirmisher to pump ASB to a 4/3 wanking gobo. He swung with both Mosquito Guard and the wanking gobo. Mark wasn’t pleased with the little wanker and promptly plonked his 1/1 Elvish Handservant in front of it before an Earthbrawn made it 4/4, causing a trade. Mark takes 1 damage though, and the life totals are equal.
Terry 19 Mark 19
Mark doesn’t seem to be doing much after all the action the previous turn. He simply drops a mountain and a Caterwauling Boggart. Terry: Forest go. (Terry doesn’t seem to be doing much either) Mark does better now, a swamp is followed by an Inner-Flame Acolyte which targeted himself. In went the 4/2 hasty elemental, which was traded by the Mosquito Guard and Kinsbaile Skirmisher (due to Caterwauling Boggart’s ability, can only be double blocked or more). Theres your first 2-for-1 in the game.
Terry: Vivid Grove go. (sad sad Terry) Mark continues his dominant position by dropping a Moonglove Changeling and swinging with the 3/2 ASB. Terry takes 3 damage, and is now at 16.
Terry 16 Mark 19
Vivid Grove is tapped for black and down comes Hornet Harassar. Mark drops a forest and swings with the Moonglove Changeling and ASB (Both need to be chump blocked due to Caterwauling Boggart) which goes through for another 4 damage. Terry needs to find an answer fast.
Terry 12 Mark 19
Plains and a Moonglove Extract hit play for Terry. Perhaps that is what he needs to save him. Mark does the same thing, and Terry opts to take a wait and see approach (which in my opinion wasn’t really good at this juncture) and lets the damage through without sacking the Extract.
Terry 8 Mark 19
Terry drops a Leaf Gilder and passes (not exactly a game-changing play). Mark on the other hand, drops a forest and a Boldwyr Intimidator. Terry still looks unperturbed and swings with his Hornet Harassar the next turn (I would not have done that…) Mark takes the damage.
Terry 8 Mark 17
Mark lays mountain, Reins of the Vinesteed on the Intimidator to make it 7/7, makes Leaf Glider a coward, swings with everything for 13 alpha strike damage.
Terry 0 Mark 17 (Mark leads 1-0 on aggregate)
Game 2
Terry opts to go first. Plains. Swamp. Forest, Leaf Glider. Forest, Handservant. Forest, tap all for Kinsbaile Baloonist. Plains, Moonglove Changeling, triggering Handservant. 2/2 Handservant swings, Terry takes, down to 18.
Terry 18 Mark 20
Terry makes his move. Forest is followed by a Kinsbaile Skirmisher, which pumps the Leaf Glider. He swings with the Balloonist and Leaf Glider for 5 flying damage. Now we have a race on our hands.
Terry 18 Mark 15
Swamp for Mark and then a Packs Disdain finally takes care of the Balloonist. Nightshade Stinger then sees play, and then Handyman stomps in, while Terry trades it with his Skirmisher. Terry Fertile Grounds a Plains and then taps it for Adder-Staff Boggart. He flips open a Gilt-Leaf Seer while Mark flips a Blightsoil Druid. Terry wins the clash and keeps the Seer on top while Mark decides to leave the druid at the bottom. Leaf Glider stomps in for 2 damage.
Terry 18 Mark 13
Mark drops a Forest and a Changeling Sentinel. Moonglove and Nightshade go into the red zone, with Moonglove trading with ASB. Terry takes 1 damage.
Terry 17 Mark 13
Gilt Leaf Seer comes down for Terry, and is supplemented by Kithkin Greatheart. Glider swings again for 2.
Terry 17 Mark 11
Plains for Mark. He thinks a bit before opting to Warren Weirding Terry. Terry deliberates and decides to throw Kithkin Greatheart away. Stinger swings again.
Terry 16 Mark 11
Swamp for Terry. Glider swings AGAIN…. But this time Changeling Sentinel bravely steps up to defend his cause and trades with it. Mark lays a Swamp and swings with Stinger AGAIN… (however Terry doesn’t do anything fancy but look at cards with Gilt Leaf Seer on Mark’s EOT).
Terry 15 Mark 11
Terry drops Sentry Oak. Mark drops plains. Swing with Stinger. Terry goes down to 14. Terry uses Gilt Leaf Seer on Mark’s EOT. Almost a carbon copy of the previous turn.
Terry 14 Mark 11
Moonglove Extract for Terry. Beginning of Combat Phase, CLASH. Mark opens….FINAL REVELS! Terry opens…. Forest. (huh? I thought he peeked at his deck already the previous turn?) No attacking treefolk this turn. He swings with Gilt Leaf Seer anyway and takes Mark down to 9.
Terry 14 Mark 9
Stinger swing.
Terry 13 Mark 9
CLASH Mark opens Auntie’s Snitch. Terry opens Windbrisk Heights. Seer goes into the red zone while the treefolk can only stand and watch.
Terry 13 Mark 7
Plains. Swing. Revels for -0/-2 kills Nightshade Stinger and Gilt Leaf Seer. Auntie’s Snitch is prowled in but Terry defiantly sacks his Moonglove Extract to kill it.
Terry 12 Mark 7
CLASH. Mark opens RECROSS THE PATHS. Terry opens HORNET HARASSER! In comes the 5/5 treefolk, itching for a thwack. Mark is left at a very precarious position. Terry makes a Adder Staff Boggart but lucky for Mark he loses the clash.
Terry 12 Mark 2
Spiderwig Boggart for Mark. Nothing else. Clash for the Oak reveals a Reins of the Vinesteed on Marks deck versus a plains. ASB comes charging in and trades with the Spiderwig Boggart. Hornet Harassar on the postcombat. Nothing good on Mark’s topdeck and Terry levels the scores at one apiece.
Terry 12 Mark 0 (aggregate 1-1)
Game 3
Mark opts to go first. Mountain. Forest. Mountain, Flamekin Brawler. Plains. Forest, swing with Brawler, pump it up.
Terry 18 Mark 20
Swamp and Winnower Patrol for Terry. Plains and Caterwauling Boggart for Mark. Forest, Fertile Ground on a Plains for Terry. Plains, CHANDRA FOR MARK!
“Walao Chandra” - Terry
(OMGWTFLULZ) Chandra shoots down the sad Winnower and Boggart whacks in for 2.
Terry 16 Mark 20
Sentry Oak comes down for Terry. Mark plays Recross the Paths and wins the clashback. Chandra hits the dome. Caterwauling Boggart smacks Terry too.
Terry 13 Mark 20
MONEYVAULT! Burrenton Shield Bearers makes an appearance too! Sentry Oak lost the clash. Mark is unfazed, Chandra hits the dome and then AUSTERE COMMAND for the “4 or greater” kills Sentry Oak. Caterwauling Boggart has unobstructed passage to whack Terry again.
Terry 10 Mark 20
Terry plays Kinsbaile Balloonist. Here comes Moneyvault going into the red zone, Flamekin Brawler goes to the graveyard. Chandra kills the Balloonist, and then PRIMAL COMMAND searches for Boldwyr Intimidator and gains Mark +7 life.
Mark forgot to swing though, after all the excitement.
“Walao Chandra… and then 2 commands” – Terry
Terry 10 Mark 27
Terry drops Adder Staff Boggart which wins the clash through a Blades of Velis Vel. Moneyvault storms in but Mark is unfazed, standing his Caterwauling Boggart in the way and then saving himself with Kindled Fury. Terry feels really moody now.
Mountain. Chandra shoot dome. Boggart Swing. Terry eats another 3 damage. Boldwyr Intimidator hits play, which gets Violet Pall smack in the face.
Terry 7 Mark 27
1/1 Faerie swings at Chandra, no other plays from Terry. Hearthcage Giant sees play for Mark. Chandra to the dome. Boggart swings for 2 damage.
Terry 4 Mark 27
If Terry wants to win, he needs to find an answer to Chandra AND the looming alpha the next turn. He topdecks a…we have no idea coz he scoops his cards up.
Terry 0 Mark 27 (Mark leads 2-1 on aggregate)
